What makes a good Chain thread?

Causal, not just chronological

A thread shows how A directly caused B caused C. Not just "things that happened" in sequence.
Connects to the present

Every Chain thread ends in a present-day condition — a wealth gap, a policy, a pattern that still exists.
Grounded in primary sources

We don't publish threads that can't be sourced. Books, academic papers, and primary documents are all valid.
Overlooked or misrepresented

Chain focuses on stories that mainstream history education obscures — we're not building a general encyclopedia.
